Effects of antioxidants on carbon monoxide (CO) level in cortical periarachnoid cerebrospinal fluid (pCSF) before and during seizures. Apocynin (20 mg/kg, intravenously) or tiron (2 g/kg, intravenously) were administered 30 minutes before seizure onset. pCSF samples were collected from under the cranial window before and during seizures.
