As the camera resolution decreases, the relative errors of the additive rule increase from less than 2% to above 16%. Note that the error was calculated relative to V(image). Since V(image) = V(object) + V(PSF), the error relative to V(object) or V(PSF) will be 2 times large as the current error curve.
