The BSK4 strain was constructed by introducing the ectB gene of P. polymyxa E681 into the srfC locus of strain BSK3S. Then, the abrB gene was disrupted to produce the BSK4-rB strain. To analyze the antimicrobial activities of the recombinant strains, E. coli plates were prepared with and without Dab, as described by Choi et al. (2), and the cells of the strains were inoculated and incubated at 37°C for 24 h to observe the growth inhibition effect.
