Cytokine profile of PmpG1.1 maintained in different cytokine milieus. PmpG1.1 T cells (5 × 10⁴) were activated by immobilized anti-CD3 antibody 145-2c11 in medium containing 1 ng/ml IL-7, and 20-h culture supernatants were collected and analyzed for the indicated cytokines by ELISA. Shown are aggregate data from six independent experiments determining IFN-γ levels, with two independent experiments for each of the other cytokines. For IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, and IL-21, the measured level of the cytokine for one or both conditions overlapped 0 pg/ml within the 95% confidence interval. ***, P < 0.0005; NS, not statistically significant.
