Effect of polybia-CP on bacterial membrane permeabilization. E. coli cells were incubated with PBS control (A to C) or polybia-CP (50 μM) (D to F) for 90 min at room temperature. Bacteria were stained with PI and analyzed by confocal laser-scanning microscopy to assess the integrity of the bacterial membrane. Results are the representative of three separate experiments.
