CHO cells expressing ELOVL3, ELOVL4 or ELOVL7 had the same fatty acid profiles as the mock-transfected CHO cells. For each elongase, at least three independent clones were analysed. Results are expressed as percentage relative to the amount measured in mock-transfected CHO cells. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 and ***p < 0.001 by ANOVA followed by Dunnett's multiple comparison test compared with mock-transfected CHO cells.
