Fpr1 function is required for virulence of F. oxysporum on immunodepressed mice. Groups of ten mice were infected by lateral tail vein injection with 2 × 107 microconidia of the following strains: wild type strain 4287 (▾), knockout mutants Δfpr1#1 (○) and Δfpr1#3 (▿ and △), and the Δfpr1#1 mutant complemented either with a wild-type fpr1 allele (●) or the fpr1H170A,E177A allele (▿). Percent survival was plotted for 14 days. The data shown are from one representative experiment.
