Efficacy to augment M current amplitude was measured at 0 and –60 mV and expressed as a ratio of I_{inhib+enhancer} to I_basal. Where possible, ratios (R) were calculated from the individual paired experiments and are given as means ± SEM; where this was not possible, the ratio of mean amplitudes is used and given as single values. ^*R > 1.25; †R = 0.75−1.25; ‡R < 0.75. A ratio of 1 indicates restoration of inhibited current to basal level.
