Maximal Clique Profile. The maximal clique profile of a graph created from the GDS3672 dataset using a threshold value of 0.81, the dataset's second highest threshold. MCE algorithms that are based on a breadth-first traversal of the search tree will retain at each step all maximal cliques of a given size. This can lead to titanic memory requirements. This graph, for example, contains more than 110 million maximal cliques of size 70. These sort of memory demands tend to render non-backtracking methods impractical.
