Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF165)-stimulated proliferation and migration of immortalised bovine retinal endothelial cells (iBREC) is inhibited by bevacizumab. (A) Serum-starved iBREC were incubated with VEGF165 in the presence or absence of bevacizumab and their proliferation was measured after 24 h. (B) iBREC migration towards fibronectin was measured in a modified Boyden-chamber. VEGF165-stimulated migration was inhibited by bevacizumab below the level of basal migration.
