Costimulation abrogates the inhibitory effect of Dex on TCR-induced proliferation. (a) Murine or (b) human Dex-treated and control naive CD4+ T cells were stimulated with anti-CD3, anti-CD3 plus IL-2, or anti-CD3 plus anti-CD28 for 3 days, and T cell proliferation was assessed by measuring 3H incorporation.
