The effect of Ecklonia cava enzymatic extract on the proliferation of NIH3T3 fibroblasts. (A,B) Mouse embryonic NIH3T3 fibroblasts (1.0 × 10⁴ cells/mL) were plated in 96 well plates. NIH3T3 fibroblasts were treated with various concentration of E. cava enzymatic extract, as indicated. Stimulation with minoxidil served as a positive control. (B) NIH3T3 fibroblasts were pretreated with tolbutamide for 30 min prior to incubation with E. cava enzymatic extract. Cell proliferation was measured using a MTT assay for four days.
