Calculated frequency dependence of the real part of the Clausius-Mossotti factor for a dielectric particle typical to our system (εm/ε0 = 78, σm = 10−5S · m−1; εp/ε0 = 3.0, σp = 10−3S · m−1). The probe experiences a positive DEP force when the frequency is below 1 MHz, while a negative DEP force acts on a probe when the frequency of applied AC field is above 1 MHz.
