Mean measurements of morphological features of proboscis epimastigotes, grouped by relative position of kinetoplast to nucleus (μm ± s.e.m.). Statistics were done for each feature, by row, for differences between relative positions of kinetoplast and nucleus (ANOVA, P-value for the overall model in last column). Means which share the same letter (a or b) are not significantly different by post-hoc testing (P ≤ 0.05). N = number of trypanosomes.
