Samples were taken at 6 months of age. Data shown are mean values ±SEM. mRNA levels of non-STZ treated Lias+/+Apoe−/− mice were used as references and set to 1.00 for genes GPX1, Sod1, Sod2 and MCP1. For CD36 and actin in aorta and all genes in liver, STZ-treated Lias+/+Apoe−/− /− mice as a control and are set to 1.00. NA: not available.
