Effect of twice-daily treatment with 50 mg/kg SB939 in mice infected with P. berghei ANKA. P. berghei ANKAluc-infected C57BL/6j mice (n = 5) were treated orally with 50 mg/kg SB939 (B and D) or vehicle only (50% DMSO in PBS) (A and C) twice a day for 3 days, beginning at 2 h postinfection. Peripheral parasitemia (A and B) and parasite-derived bioluminescence (flux) (C and D) are shown for individual mice. Significant differences (*, P < 0.05; **, P < 0.01) between the SB939 and control groups are indicated.
