Post-radiation therapy F18 FDG PET/CT shows significant decrease in tumor volume but as well as SUVmax. However, considerable amount of metabolically active residual tumor is evident in post-therapy PET suggesting inadequate local control. Note absence of atelectasis with reinflation of the lung secondary to decrease in tumor volume.
