Induction of the CaPR9, CaCHI2 and CaLOX1 genes in aphid-, BTH-, water control- and aphid + BTH combination-treated plants. Expression levels of pepper resistance genes CaPR9, CaCHI2, CaSAR 8·2 and CaLOX1 were quantified by qRT-PCR at 0 and 2 d after drenching of 10⁸ c.f.u. mL⁻¹ suspension of B. subtilis GB03, P. fluorescens Pf-5, R. solanacearum SL1931 and water on plant root. Values are means ± s.e.m. with four replications per treatment. Different letters indicate significant differences between treatments (P < 0·05 according to the LSD test). The experiment was repeated three times with similar results.
