Electron micrographs of arabidopsis root cells labelled with the anti-AGP antibody JIM14. Note the immuno-gold labelling of Golgi cisternae (G) and the trans-Golgi network (TGN) in (A), and secretory vesicles (SV), the plasma membrane (PM) and the cell wall (CW) in (B). AGPs are known to be assembled within the endomembrane system. Roots were prepared by the high-pressure freezing technique and the immunogold labelling was performed as described in Driouich et al.
