Technical pipeline for the miniChIP–chip technology platform using 10,000 cells. The flowchart depicts the three main methodical phases of the miniChIP–chip procedure: sample processing, data preparation, and data analysis. Detailed steps of the data preparation phase (A–E) is indicated including a visual depiction of the array data and possible quality controls (QC). The representative data in A–E was obtained from miniChIP–chip investigations of H3K4me3 associated with the Cxcr4 locus in murine hematopoietic stem cells (phenotypically defined by fluorescence-activated cell sorting as lineage^-/lo, ckit⁺, Sca1⁺, CD150⁺, Flk2/Flt3^-[28].
