Proposed scheme for the inhibition of both arms of the mTOR pathway by p-XSC and rapamycin in C4-2 cells. Rapamycin inhibits mTORC1 signaling while p-XSC inhibits mTORC2 signaling. p-XSC treatment may offset feedback activation of Akt by rapamycin (represented by broken lines).
