Variables included were the following: whether the respondent had heard of HIV/AIDS, three questions about reducing risk for infection (through abstinence, using condoms, and having just one uninfected partner who has not had other partners) and two questions regarding transmission (can people get AIDS virus from mosquitoes, can people get AIDS virus by sharing food with a person who has AIDS. |
