p66-KO neurons show greater preservation of neuronal structure compared to WT neurons following H2O2 treatment. Representative images of week-old p66-KO and WT neurons at 24 h post-treatment with either control media (A,B) or 500 μM H2O2 (C,D); viable cells have been fluorescently labeled with Calcein AM. Images were taken with a wide-field inverted fluorescence microscope using a 10X objective. Note the greater percentage of viable neurons in the p66-KO culture (D) compared to the WT culture (C) (Bar in A = 50 μm).
