Interest in social interactions (a,b) was measured by comparing the amount of time a mouse spent investigating another mouse vs. an empty cage. Social approach was reduced in both male (a) and female (b) GC mice as well as male wildtype folate deficient (WTFD) mice. Sensorimotor gating (c,d), as assessed by PPI, was normal in all male (c) and all female (d) mice. All values are average ± SEM. n's per group are given in parenthesis next to each experimental group; ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001.
