Figure 4

Masson's Trichrome staining of lung samples from ovalbumin-challenged/vehicle-treated mice show significant peribronchial and perivascular fibrosis (B) (n = 6) compared with PBS-challenged mice (A) (n = 6). Treatment with Ang-(1–7) (0.3 mg·kg−1) (C) (n = 6) resulted in a significant reduction in peribronchial and perivascular fibrosis and was similar to in appearance to PBS vehicle group (A). Treatment with A779 (1 mg·kg−1; i.p.) (D) (n = 6) significantly blocked the Ang-(1–7)-induced inhibition of peribronchial and perivascular fibrosis; (Inline graphic), significant and remarkable peribronchial and perivascular fibrosis.
