Figure 1. p53 activity is up-regulated after TPA treatment in C9 cells.

C9 cells were treated with DMSO (control) or TPA (100 ng/mL). Compared to the DMSO-treated samples, TPA treatment reduced p63 and K14 expression. Although p53 levels did not vary based on TPA treatment, the p53 target gene p21 was induced following TPA treatment. β-actin expression was used as a loading control. Each well was loaded with 20 µg of total protein extract.
