Neurons transfected with mito-Keima were visualized using 458 nm (green, mitochondria at neutral pH) and 561 nm (red, mitochondria in acidic pH) laser lines and 575 nm band pass filter. Compared with the control (A) wild-type PINK1 overexpression (B) increases the number of the mitochondria exposed to acidic conditions. Scale bar, 2 µm.
