Synergistic effects of HIV protease inhibitors and alcohol on cell death in primary human hepatocytes. The hepatocytes were doubly stained with Sytox green and Hoechst blue dyes after incubation with vehicle DMSO (C), ritonavir and lopinavir (RIT+LOP), alcohol (EtOH), or thapsigargin (TG, 6 μg/ml) for 24 hours.
