Neurotoxicity of HIV-1 clade B or C-infected MDM in RCN. RCN were treated for 4 days using conditioned media collected at 14 (a) and 21 (b) days after infection by a panel of HIV-1 laboratory-adapted strains and primary isolates of clades B and C. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay and neurotoxicity corresponds to the percentage of viable cells normalized to day-matched uninfected control conditioned media.
