Values (mean ± SD) were obtained from groups CON (AIN diet and water for 20 weeks); HF (AIN diet + 20% fructose solution in water for 20 weeks) and HFS (8% NaCl in AIN93 diet + 20% fructose solution in water for 10 weeks after previous treatment for a period of 10 weeks with HF).
