Multi-information rate (MIR) estimates of natural images obtained with different models including the conditional Gaussian scale mixture (CGSM) with a 7x7 causal neighborhood [7] and a mixture of conditional Gaussians (MCG) with a 5x5 causal neighborhood [5]. The SEM corresponds to one standard deviation of the estimate for different test sets. Since each model gives us a lower bound on the true MIR, a larger value corresponds to a better model.
