Thickened lines indicate branches present in the strict consensus tree. The scale bar indicates 10 changes and bootstrap support values from 1 000 replicates are shown at the nodes, followed by bootstrap support values from 1 000 replicates obtained by a neighbour-joining analysis using the HKY85 substitution model on the same alignment. Our SBFS isolates treated in this study were indicated in **bold**. The tree was rooted to *Annulatascus triseptatus* (GenBank AY780049) (*Annulatascaceae*, *Sordariomycetes*) and *Ophiostoma stenoceras* (GenBank DQ836904) (*Ophiostomataceae*, *Ophiostomatales*, *Sordariomycetes*).
