Role of vagus in dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-colitis induced anxiety-like behavior. Latency to step down from the elevated platform in sham operated controls (water, n = 12), sham operated mice treated with DSS (n = 10), vagotomized controls (water Vx, n = 12) and vagotomized mice treated with DSS (DSS Vx, n = 12) mice.
