Production of calcofluor-fluorescent material by the exoY-overexpressing strains is increased in all growth media tested. The relative levels of calcofluor-fluorescent material in the culture supernatants from exoY overexpression strains and control strains were assayed for cells grown in the indicated media. There was an increase in calcofluor-fluorescent material in the exoY overexpression strains under all of these growth conditions.
