Expression of IFN-regulated genes in the LCMV-infected CNS is independent of IRF7. mRNA was extracted from the CNS of IRF7^−/− (IRF7) and WT mice injected with LCMV 3 days earlier; the brains from WT mice injected with PBS served as a reference. The expression of 86 classical IFN-stimulated genes was analyzed by Q-PCR. The results represent averages of 2 or 3 mice per group. (Top) Gene expression in infected versus sham-inoculated WT mice.
