P. gingivalis-induced nitric oxide release from activated endothelial cells is mediated by E-selectin. HUVECs were incubated with TNF-α (10 ng/ml) for 3 h. Cells were then washed and incubated with P. gingivalis ATCC 33277 (10⁸ cells/ml in each well) for 30 min in the presence or absence of an antibody for E-selectin.
