Bone-marrow-derived dendritic cells (DCs) were isolated from normal pregnant (NP) females at day 5 were cultured for 12 days in the presence of recombinant mouse GM-CSF (Serotec, USA) and exposed to LPS (1 µg/ml) alone, LPS+CoPPIX (50 µM) or LPS+ZnPPIX (20 µM) for 48 h. DCs were analyzed for the expression of maturity markers by flow cytometry. Maturity status is indicated by CD11c+CD80+ (A) and CD11c+MHCII+ cells (B). Statistical analysis was performed by one way ANOVA. **:p<0.01, *:p<0.05 and #:p<0.1.
