Exogenously added N-acylethanolamines partially reverse Aβ-induced inflammation in WT astrocytes by reducing the increase in the expression levels of iNOS (A), COX-2 (B) and TNF-α (C). Astrocytes were incubated with AEA, PEA or OEA (10 µM each), alone or in combination, for 24 h and then exposed to Aβ (AB) for 8 h. iNOS, COX-2 and TNF-α mRNAs were quantified by qRT-PCR. Results shown are the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments performed in triplicate.
