The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia in CHD patients who were stratified according to the serum TSH concentrations. The data are presented as the number (percentage) of individuals in each category. The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia showed a linear and significant increase with elevations of the serum TSH levels (Pearson’s Chi-squared test, linear trend 0.010, p < 0.05; Figure 1).
