Pooled data from 9–18 month old mice: n = 25 to AD; n = 38 to WT; n.d., not detectable.
Gfap-Δ135 and Gfap-ΔEx6 assays lack sensitivity to detect levels lower than 0.003% of the Gfap-α expression level.
Gfap-ΔEx7 was not detectable in all of the samples and fold change therefore fluctuates. The fold change is only presented for the pooled data from the 9–18 month groups; Mann-Whitney test was used for statistical analysis with non-detectable level set at 0; n.s., non significant.
Data are presented as fold change of APPswePS1dE9 mice compared to expression levels found in WT mice of the same age.
