The figure shows pyrosequencing analysis of the CEBPδ CpG island in CNS metastatic lesions, confirmed by histopathology to be metastatic breast cancer. Also shown (top) are three paired primary/CNS metastatic breast cancers. Pyrosequencing was done as described in Materials and methods. The level of methylation is represented by the intensity of shading in the circles, each of which represents an individual CG dinucleotide in the amplified fragment.
