The effect of rSAA on 3T3-L1 preadipocyte differentiation. Quantitative real-time PCR was performed to assess the mRNA expression of (a) C/EBPβ, (b) GLUT4, (c) C/EBPα, (d) PPARγ2, (e) perilipin and (f) FABP4. Cells were treated with a hormonal stimulus in the presence (○) or absence (▪) of rSAA. Data are the mean±s.e. of three independent experiments and two-way analysis of variance was performed (**P<0.01, ***P<0.001 vs control groups).
