SEM micrographs of S. epidermidis ATCC 35984 biofilm formation on glass surfaces. Biofilms were grown in TSBGlc (a) or in TSBGlc supplemented with THR-SK004 ethanol extract at 250, (b) and 500 μg/mL, (c), and all images shown were taken at magnification 2500x. The selected images were chosen as the best representatives of the amount of biofilm on the glass surfaces. Inhibition of staphylococcal biofilm development by THR-SK004 ethanol extract was additionally confirmed by crystal violet assay (d).
