Alteration in the transcription of genes involved in biofilm formation and motility in the ΔqseB mutant A. of hydrophila SSU. The analysis of transcripts by RT-PCR demonstrated increases in the levels of the fleN gene and decreases in the levels of vpsT gene, compared to that of WT A. hydrophila. The GGDEF domain protein overproduction in the ΔqseB mutant returned the transcript level of vpsT the gene to the level found in the WT bacteria with the pBAD/Myc-HisB vector alone, while the expression of the fleN gene was down-regulated.
