Promastigotes of L. donovani were intravenously inoculated into aly/+ (○) and aly/aly (•) mice, and at the indicated time points, parasite burdens in the liver were determined as LDU (A), and relative amounts of Leishmania gp63 gene to mouse housekeeping BDNF gene by qPCR (B).
