A, volumetric flow significantly decreased after LPS application despite of volume resuscitation to maintain MAP. After starting i.v. application of PD-4-I (arrow) microcirculation improved compared to LPS alone. B, all animals received a fixed volume application (control) and additional i.v. boli to maintain MAP > 60 mmHg if needed. Significant less volume was applied in PD-4-I-treated animals compared to LPS alone.
