The total AHRR mRNA expression and the AHRR isoform without exon 8 expression were significantly reduced in tumor tissues compared with the adjacent non-tumor tissues (P = 0.045 and 0.006, respectively). The AHRR isoform without exon 8 was the predominant form either in tumor tissues (66.7%, 8/12) or in matched adjacent non-tumor tissues (100.0%, 12/12).
