KHDC1A is a general translational repressor. (A) HeLa cells were co-transfected with Firefly or Renilla luciferase reporters and either control, KHDC1A, or KHDC1B expressing plasmids. Twenty-four hours after transfection, the cells were harvested, and luciferase assays were performed to examine the protein level of reporters.
