NV, normal volunteers; MTBI, all MTBI subjects collectively; 1^st, subjects recovering from their first MTBI; 2^nd, subjects recovering from their second MTBI; 3⁺, subjects recovering from three or more MTBIs; 1 week, MTBI subjects that were scanned within 7 days of injury; 2 weeks, MTBI subjects scanned 8–14 days after injury; and 3⁺ weeks, MTBI subjects scanned >14 days after injury.
