Concentration‐dependent toxicity curves for oligodendrocytes after activation of AMPA and kainate receptors. Three distinct receptor types trigger excitotoxicity: AMPA, and high‐ and low‐affinity kainate receptors. AMPA receptors were activated by AMPA applied in conjunction with cyclothiazide (100 μM).
